Aylmer’s Folly, a 60-ft limestone tower built in 1859 by Sir Gerald George Aylmer, stands atop the 676-ft volcanic Hill of Allen near Kildare. Offering stunning views, it features an internal staircase with the builders' names inscribed on each step.
