PRI Institute of Old Slavic Culture - Prilep, R. N. Macedonia

I'm a Roman period archaeologist and research assistant at PRI Institute of Old Slavic Culture - Prilep, R. Macedonia. Born in 1986, I am educated at the University SS. Cyril and Methodius - Skopje, R. Macedonia, at the Institute of art history and archaeology. I have finished my BA studies in 2008 and did my MA in early Byzantine domestic architecture from Scupi, Stobi and Heraclea Lyncestis in 2014. Worked at National institution Stobi in the period 2010-2013 as INDOC archaeologist. Since July 2013 I am in the PRI Institute of Old Slavic Culture - Prilep, R. Macedonia, first as a junior research assistant, and as a research assistant since November 2014. My main research interest is the late Roman and early Byzantine architecture, infrastructure, and settlement planning; Urban development of Roman and Late Antique cities; Roman and early Byzantine defensive policy. In the period 2010-2013, I have given single lectures on Roman architecture and archaeological field surveying during archaeological field schools held at Stobi. I was also part of the team that built GIS for Stobi in 2008. In 2011 had short training in handling and implementing of the results of the geomagnetic scans in GIS, using the software ArcGIS, ArcCatalog, and ArcScene, in the German Archaeological Institute in Frankfurt and the University of Heidelberg. In 2016 I was part of the Residential fellowship for southeast European scholars program at American Research Center in Sofia, R. Bulgaria and also, spent one month at the Belgrade University, R. Serbia in the CEEPUS`s Arheoped program of the University of Ljubljana. I am a Ph.D. candidate at the University SS. Cyril and Methodius - Skopje. The title of my thesis, expected in Spring 2020 is „The development of the architectural and the infrastructural layout of the urban centers on the territory of the R. Macedonia in the period from Diocletian to Heraclius.".
