Torre dels Coloms
La Torre dels Coloms se sitúa en el Monasterio de Santa María de la Murta de Alzira, en el corazón del valle de la Murta, bello paraje enmarcado entre las sierras de Cavall de Bernat y de les Agulles. La Torre se construyó en el siglo XV, un siglo después de la construcción del Monasterio de los Jerónimos de Santa María de la Murta. Su finalidad fue claramente defensiva contra los ataques de la piratería berberisca procedente de la costa. A partir de la expulsión de los moriscos, y hasta la desamortización del siglo XIX, en que estuvo ocupada, sufrió varias remodelaciones quedando anexionada al complejo monacal. Hoy en día es el monumento más emblemático del valle de la Murta.
